Begin your journey into wine with the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines. Perfect for beginners, this internationally recognised qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine.
You will explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell and taste, while developing the basic skills to describe wines accurately using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine (SAT). You will also learn the principles of food and wine pairing, as well as how to store and serve wine correctly.
Tasting samples are included in the course fee and provided according to the minimum specification requirements of this qualification. Upon successful completion, you will receive a digital WSET certificate and lapel pin.
Assessment
- Closed-book exam consisting of 30 multiple-choice questions
- This qualification is regulated by Ofqual
- Re-sit available for $120 if required
